The ArchiGreen® SP separation profiles comprise SP AL 120/80 and SP SS 120/80 made of high-strength aluminium alloy and stainless steel, respectively. They have two alternative upright sides that can be used interchangeably: 80 and 120 mm. Lateral perforations known as drainage slits are present in a regular pattern of seven adjacent slits seven times along the main fold of a single L-shaped 2000 mm long strip - the available form of the product for delivery. These drainage slits provide ample drainage between the layers lying on both sides of the profile. Each 2 metre long profile strip includes an L-shaped sliding connector made from the same material as the profile strip comprising it. The use of the sliding connector allows for better alignment and avoids gaps between the ends of the profiles. These separation profiles are often known as gravel retention trims or sometimes even referred to as gravel boards and are primarily designed to neatly separate gravel strips from the engineered growing substrate on green roofs without hindering drainage properties but also to aid fire prevention regulations on green roofs.
